Back at It!

Wow! It is pouring rain here today--the heaviest showers I've seen since arriving here! Good weather for being indoors and studying--which is what the status of the house is as finals are only two weeks away. The semester system here gives you a two week break for Christmas, and then you return to finish the fall semester. We'll see how much I remember from last year!

Since I'm in the intensive language program this semester, I only have two finals: Greek and Hebrew. For the guys here who have eight finals, that can seem pretty meager, but our language teachers have ensured we get our money's worth. I'll be trying to squeeze in every last bit of review in these finals days of classes.

Keep me in your prayers!

Two big finals! Good night! (In Hebrew that's "laila tov," but I think it just means happy dreams.)

I offered prayer at the intercessions at mass at the Abbey of New Clairvaux for Father Avram's study of Hebrew, on New Year's Day.

By a God-incidence, I ended up alone & heading to Vina on New Year's Day, Feast of Mary Mother of God, and was thoroughly pleased to hear that THE BROWNS were there too! Ran into them on our walk to the church for Mass. I was so thrilled to see them!

Almost burst into tears when "Dad" offered prayer at the intercessions in such a holy & prayer-filled place. (tears, me?)

I know all those monks are continuing to pray for you and your studies, as are all of the Kearns family!

Grab the graces, we're praying for your studies, Padre!
