Or more technically, the Third Person's the Mystery. Or another theologically profound statement. With today's celebration of the Most Holy Trinity, we're highlighting one of the most distinctive elements of Christianity. The idea of communion of persons, that we're meant to be people in relation with each other, is grounded in our source in the communion between Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Our ultimate goal isn't to melt into un-distinction, where we can't tell each other apart any more. Likewise, it isn't primarily to have earned an identity by doing: our identity comes from being in relation to others.
I took this photo today from one of the windows here in the house. The weather's getting warmer, though nothing like the 100 degree weather California is getting right now. Drop whatever you're doing and head to the water. That sort of May weather brings up quotes like, "You think it's hot here!? Wait till the next life!"

"Un-distinction" I like it! It's new, fresh an stuff. Hahaha!Yesterday was 112 degrees toasty here in loverly Redding CA. You know you miss it. Pitty you're stuck in drab drab Rome. I'm confident you shall cope, & endure.

"Un-distinction" I like it! It's new, and fresh, and stuff. It was a toasty 112 degrees here in loverly Redding, CA yesterday. You know you miss it. Pity you're stuck there in drab, drab Rome.I'm sure however that you will cope, and endure.Hehe.(I maintain that you are a spoiled rotten Padre.) You are thought of. My Rose misses you. Asks me every Sunday if she's old enough to receive the body of Christ yet. She's taken to hugging Fr. Jovito's leg too. Smile and be happy. You helped plant good seeds in my babies hearts. Thank you!!!!!
You forgot to mention that Trinity season lasts for near eternity. I love green, but by week 20 I'm really ready for some liturgical rainbows to come back out!
I love arched doorways!
