Happy Divine Mercy Sunday Again!

Generally we align space and time along the same coordinates—but it’s still an odd sensation to change one’s place and discover time has changed as well.

A group of us went into Egypt last week, and I was in Cairo on Sunday.  So I went to celebrate Mass for the Missionaries of Charity there, whom I had been in put in contact with by their sisters here in Jerusalem.

It turned that they celebrate along the Coptic calendar—so it had just been Easter for them, and they were then celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday!  So I got to celebrate it twice this year.

Sometimes there isn’t too much of a good thing.

Speaking of good things, you may have noticed a dearth of posts here in the last few weeks here: for some of you that may be a good thing in itself, but the holdup on this end has been a surplus of good stuff happening—Holy Week and Easter were such a whirlwind that stepping away to sit down for a moment was a scarce option.

And then Egypt followed right after.  So now I may have a moment to put a few photos up: but perhaps because of the volume of content it might make sense to start with the most recent and work backwards . . .

So more stuff like this soon:
