Four nights weren't enough in Rome to get over jet lag, so I hopped on a plane anyways and came through Istanbul to Ankara, Turkey.

About 35 of us are traveling from Rome (though we're from all over the world--just about every continent represented) for a 'summer' course in Biblical Archeology. We've heard there's some old stuff here, so we're going to go look for it.
Apparently the organizers of our program didn't major in asceticism, because our lodging was gorgeous, overlooking the rugged terrain of the land formerly known as Galatia.

Paul would have appreciated the wireless connection in the hotel lobby, because he could have started berating those Galatians that much faster . . .
