We arrived this afternoon in Konya, the Iconium of Paul's visit in Acts 14. Timothy was born about 25 miles from here, and Saint Tecla was from here and converted when she heard Paul's preaching.
So it was a privilege to be able to celebrate Mass at the Church of Saint Paul.
I wish you could be at one of our Masses--we basically have the whole globe represented in the 35 some of us (minus Australia and Antarctica), and as we sing the different parts of the Mass it's really splendid--spontaneous, but since we all know the different parts, it fills the church.
