On the commemoration of Our Lady of Sorrows, today, September 15th, we pulled into Ephesus mid-afternoon. This is where Mary lived for 9 years with Saint John at the end of her life here. Father Joe from D.C. and I snagged a taxi to take advantage of a window of free time and drove up the mountain to Mary's House--Meryam Ana.
You can see the sea from up here.
Inside the home, which has a 13th century chapel built over it, was such a peaceful place to pray. To be there today and lift up friends and family in prayer was a special gift.

I'm so glad to see that it's still so small and simple...I can only imagine how peaceful it must be.
Yep, don't forget to drop a prayer or two our way...We can always use it (I know, ESPECIALLY ME!)
I am truly enoying this journey along with you -- keep blogging!
