Take With a Grain of . . .

After the Ankara Museum we were heading on to Cappadocia, which took us past the vast Lake Tuz, also known as the great Salt Lake, because it is full of Mormons. Just kidding: it's full of salt. The second largest lake in Turkey, you'd have to hike out over two kilometers of salt to make it to the water.

We didn't hike that far.

But we did get out onto the salt.

In places with more moisture, the salt gives slightly under your feet, like walking on cork.

Would you like a little water in your salt?
